The success of virus diagnosis depends largely on the quality of the specimen and the conditions under which the specimen is transported and stored before being processed in the laboratory. Nowadays, with the huge incidence of the new influenza A H1N1, it is even more important the right collection and transport of samples.
Vircell's Transport Medium for virus, Chlamydia and Mycoplasma, avoids the drying up of the sample, improves microorganisms viability between collection and inoculation, and decreases bacterial overgrowth in contaminated samples. This CE marked product is suitable for samples to be assayed by PCR.
Contents: 50 units of 2 ml of Hank’s BSS containing HEPES, gelatine, BSA, sacarose and compatible antibiotics, together with sterile Dacron® swab. |
